What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Ph. D. or equivalent in Physics, Materials Science, ECE or related field, Experience with statistical data analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE) required, Experimentation background including writing computer code to collect and analyze data to develop understanding of complex physical systems
Nice to Have
Knowledge of magnetic material properties, advanced characterization and magnetic recording is desired, Knowledge of the disk drive industry is desired

analyze and develop understanding of experimental samples
apply advanced technical expertise to understand complex problems
develop and implement innovative solutions for complex and specialized technical issues
provide regular technical advice and direction to technical teams and management
contributes to and helps shape our technical strategy
work identify and help prevent problems that may cross disciplines
