## Accountabilities Design and evolve scalable, maintainable, and secure platform architectures that support long-term business and technical objectives. Develop backend services and distributed applications using modern programming languages and functional programming principles. Lead platform-wide initiatives aimed at improving reliability, scalability, performance, security, and developer experience. Architect, containerize, deploy, and maintain cloud-native services using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure platforms. Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, infrastructure automation, and operational best practices. Apply security-first engineering principles, including secure coding practices, secrets management, vulnerability mitigation, and infrastructure protection. Drive performance analysis, system optimization, test automation, and reliability improvements across critical services. Integrate and manage third-party services and APIs while ensuring operational excellence and observability. Explore opportunities to incorporate AI and machine learning capabilities into platform solutions and workflows. Serve as a technical mentor and subject matter expert, guiding engineers, influencing architecture decisions, and elevating engineering standards across teams. Collaborate closely with product leaders, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver impactful solutions. Research emerging technologies and advocate for innovations that improve platform capabilities and create business value. Requirements: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant expertise in distributed systems, platform engineering, and large-scale architecture design.
