What They're Looking For.
Must Have
A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required, along with 8+ years of experience in designing and debugging PCBAs. Proficiency in Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools, hands-on experience with lab instruments, a solid understanding of digital buses, and experience with board bring-up, test planning, and production issues are essential.
Nice to Have
A Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred. Additional preferred qualifications include experience designing for harsh environments, familiarity with high-speed design or impedance-controlled layouts, basic scripting or automation in Python or C for hardware test workflows, exposure to radiation effects and mitigation, familiarity with EMIC design practices, and familiarity with satellite electrical systems engineering.

The Staff Electrical Hardware Design Engineer will own the full electrical design lifecycle for complex spaceflight hardware, from concept to flight readiness.
This includes schematic capture, layout, bring-up, testing, and manufacturing handoff, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding the Electrical Engineering team on special topics.
The role involves defining test plans, scaling manufacturing, mentoring junior engineers, and driving failure analysis for anomalies.
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
This role requires close collaboration with RF, mechanical, software, FPGA/SoC, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of high-reliability, space-ready electronics. The engineer will also guide the Electrical Engineering team, present across disciplines, and mentor early-career engineers.
