Help enterprise engineering teams across Singapore and Southeast Asia adopt and scale Temporal successfully; Shape how sophisticated engineering organizations discover, adopt, and scale durable execution with Temporal; Ensure outcomes of engagements; Surface product gaps, developer experience friction, and adoption blockers from the APJ market
Industry & Context.
Approximately 50% travel within APJ, Occasional travel to the United States for company offsites, Right to work in Singapore
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on distributed systems, Based in Singapore, with the right to work in Singapore, Proficiency in one or more Temporal SDK languages (Python, Go, Java, TypeScript), Working knowledge of distributed systems, state management, and workflow execution concepts, Demonstrated ability to lead technical workshops, hands-on labs, or enablement sessions for senior engineering audiences, Executive presence to hold a room of senior engineers, Experience engaging directly with enterprise engineering organizations, Understanding of how large teams adopt and scale developer tooling, Experience mentoring others in a formal or informal capacity, Comfort with approximately 50% travel within APJ, including occasional travel to the United States for company offsites
Nice to Have
Prior experience in a Developer Relations, Solutions Architect, or Solutions Engineering role, especially in an enterprise or field-facing capacity, Experience delivering enterprise hackathons, on-site enablement sessions, or structured technical workshops, Familiarity with Temporal Cloud and advanced Temporal patterns, including AI/agentic backends, LLM orchestration, Nexus, and saga, Existing relationships in APJ enterprise engineering communities or with platform and partner ecosystems, Track record of speaking at regional technical conferences or leading workshops for enterprise engineering teams, Multilingual — English Mandarin, Bahasa, or other Southeast Asian languages are a plus

Deliver Temporal DevDays on-site technical enablement program to enterprise customer sites across APJ
Prepare and deliver hands-on labs
architectural walkthroughs
and workshop sessions
Contribute sample applications
and reusable content to the DevDays content library
Deliver train-the-trainer sessions
Host semi-regular enterprise office hours for APJ-based engineering teams
Deliver webinars on enterprise-relevant topics
Speak at and attend industry conferences
and meetups across APJ
Produce technical content: blog posts
Gather structured feedback from sessions to surface product gaps and friction
Serve as the regional voice of the enterprise developer
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Account Executives, and Customer Success to scope and prepare for engagements; Partner with the DevDays program owner, DevRel, and field teams to identify topics and formats; Surface product gaps, developer experience friction, and adoption blockers to broader DevRel, Engineering, and Product teams
Communication Scope
Executive presence to hold a room of senior engineers; Delivering technical enablement; Delivering webinars; Speaking at conferences and events; Producing technical content; Gathering and surfacing feedback

The Staff Developer Advocate, Enterprise (Singapore) is a field-facing technical practitioner embedded in our enterprise motion, focused on helping enterprise engineering teams across Singapore and Southeast Asia adopt and scale Temporal successfully. This is a rare opportunity to be the first dedicated enterprise developer advocate in the region, shaping how some of the most sophisticated engineering organizations in Asia-Pacific discover, adopt, and scale durable execution with Temporal. This role's primary focus is the Temporal DevDays program, traveling on-site to customer accounts across the region to deliver hands-on technical enablement tailored to each team's architecture, use cases, and adoption stage. Beyond DevDays, this person runs enterprise office hours, delivers webinars, speaks at conferences, creates technical content, and serves as a trusted technical resource for enterprise developers in our ecosystem.
