What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Proven experience (minimum 8+ years) in professional backend software development with a focus on data modeling, data management, identity, security, or related areas., A history with the development of databases, storage layers, query engines or adjacent tooling., Experience with complex relational data models in OLAP systems and/or graph database systems such as Neo4j., Deep knowledge of relational algebra and graph algorithms., A proven ability to develop and test code in one or more modern backend programming languages such as Golang or Kotlin., Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs in microservice architectures.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.
