Ph.D. or Au.D. in relevant field, Certification in relevant specialty, Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, Valid Florida Audiologist License

What You'll Do.
Administer and interpret hearing tests
Determine type and degree of hearing impairment
Evaluate test results
Perform immittance and emissions testing
Conduct auditory evoked potential assessments
Assess hearing sensitivity and quality
Provide patients with information
Dispense assistive listening devices
Fit devices based on patient needs
Consult with physicians and professionals
Maintain client records
Document professional and clinical reports
Conduct research on auditory topics
and national regulations
Participate in conferences and training sessions
Adhere to University policies and procedures
Safeguard University assets
Provide audiology coverage for Neurodiagnostic Clinic
and interpret auditory tests
and interpret speech perception tests
Compile test results and information
Make appropriate recommendations and/or referrals
Counsel patient and/or families
Remain up to date on hearing aid technologies
Counsel patients on hearing aid techniques
Support families overall needs
Identify and refer patients for services
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
Document reports in a timely manner
Complete hearing aid programming
Complete diagnostic hearing assessments
Formulate and implement treatment plans
Complete documentation concisely
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary hearing implant team
Utilize regulations to make eligibility decisions
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Train students and externs
Flex to different specialties
