SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures the integrity of the general ledger through accurate journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and month-end close support. The ideal candidate brings a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cash Management and Revenue Accounting Perform daily cash reconciliation of bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly. Prepare weekly cash position reports and assist with cash flow forecasting. Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP (ASC 606) and company policy. Record and reconcile daily revenue transactions across all channels (cash, credit card, ACH, wire). Prepare and post monthly revenue journal entries, including accruals and deferrals.
