What You'll Do.
Provide general support to all bar needs by ensuring cleanliness
and adequate stock levels of products and supplies
Deliver internal and external guest service
Learn and be familiar with all of Boyd Gaming’s room outlets
and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property
Anticipate the guest’s needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
Assist bartender with various tasks
Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
Assist guests with beverage and food selection
demonstrating salesmanship with complete product knowledge
Adhere to company policy by measuring all drinks
bottled or draft beer
and non-alcoholic beverages with proper garnishes
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages
Deliver beverage orders to guests throughout assigned section in a timely manner
Participate in liquor glassware removal
ensuring compliance with all Ohio Gaming Commission regulations
Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through POS system in a timely manner
Clean and stock glassware
Arrange and clean liquor bottles
and glassware to assure that the bar environment is perceived as clean
Produce and complete par lists to requisition liquor and supplies
Maintain lounge and bar area by collecting used glassware
Limit problems related to guests’ excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service and applying any training from the responsible alcohol certification course
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
Receive and deliver order to appropriate venuear
Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling
and cleanliness of work environment
Federal and Corporate liquor Regulations
Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary
safe and effective manner
Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled
Carry out duties with attention to detail
sanitation and safety
closing and other side duties as assigned by the supervisors
Pass all tests given including the training in order to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server
Maintain a well-groomed
neat and clean appearance
Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards
