What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years developing backends in production (Java/Kotlin/Go), Experience with microservices and distributed architectures (messaging/events), Good command of OOP and common patterns, Experience with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and at least one NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB/MongoDB), AWS (or cloud equivalent) and CI/CD management, Work with Git (PRs/branches), Automated testing practices (unit/integration), Participation in code reviews, Knowledge of observability (metrics, logs, tracing), Operation of services in production, Practical use of AI tools for development (experience or strong interest using assistants like Claude, Codex, JetBrains AI, etc.), Criterion for using AI in a real context: understanding when to trust, how to validate outputs (tests, reviews, metrics), and how to integrate it into the development workflow without compromising quality
Nice to Have
Experience with containers/Kubernetes (EKS), GitOps (ArgoCD), IaC (Terraform/CDK), Experience in fintech domains (issuing, acquiring, accounts, risk, collections), Experience integrating AI APIs or LLMs: use of OpenAI or other providers, API key management, basic orchestration or use of gateways (e.g., Cloudflare AI Gateway), Automation of development workflows with AI: generation of tests, assisted refactors, internal tooling, etc.

En Pomelo, el equipo de Enablers impulsa el crecimiento del negocio construyendo las capacidades que permiten a nuestros clientes operar, escalar y evolucionar sus productos financieros sin fricció n. Somos responsables de componentes críticos del flujo transaccional como comisiones, loyalty, impuestos y tipos de cambio, que impactan en cada operación procesada. Habilitamos la expansión del ecosistema a través de un motor de acciones masivas, que permite migrar usuarios y operaciones desde terceros hacia Pomelo y ejecutar cambios a gran escala (como actualizar estados o aplicar acciones sobre grandes volúmenes de cuentas y tarjetas). Complementamos esto con APIs financieras para settlement, billing y conciliación, y con soluciones de data y reporting que brindan visibilidad y control sobre el negocio.
