What You'll Do.
Performs with high-quality commercial roofing accessory products at the Burgaw Plant.
Partners with other machine operators
lead and supervisor to establish and maintain an environment where safety
service and cost are the highest priorities.
Operates a wide variety of simple one step or one-process machines to manufacture ventilation or specialty products.
Ensures that the work area has been set up to provide optimum safe work area and workflow.
Monitors quality of materials supplied and parts produced & recommends corrections as necessary.
Keeps track of production on daily schedule control sheets and other production reports.
Tracks downtime of equipment and production.
Responsible for keeping supervisor informed of production problems
which could be material
machine or personnel related.
Responsible for conformance of production with plant standards of safety
production and efficiency.
Inspects equipment for operating efficiency.
performs basic maintenance
and makes minor repairs or specified operating adjustments to equipment.
Cleans and maintains work areas in accordance with plant standards.
Ability to pack finished products in appropriate containers
using a proper label.
Ability to report recurring quality problems to management for quick resolution.

Responsibilities include various rotating duties relating to departmental operations. The SSB Machine Operator partners with other machine operators, lead and supervisor to establish and maintain an environment where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities. **Essential Duties** * Operates a wide variety of simple one step or one-process machines to manufacture ventilation or specialty products. * Ensures that the work area has been set up to provide optimum safe work area and workflow.
