Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Community Health, Social Sciences, Psychology, Education, or a related field., At least 3 years of experience implementing adolescent SRHR, youth empowerment, gender, or community health programmes., Demonstrated experience facilitating life skills training and mentorship programmes for adolescents and young people, particularly girls and vulnerable populations., understanding of adolescent-friendly health services, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and safeguarding principles., Proven ability to create safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for adolescents to discuss SRHR, mental health, gender equality, and life opportunities., Experience working with schools, community leaders, youth groups, county governments, and health facilities to strengthen referral pathways and access to services., Demonstrated ability to coordinate community outreach activities, mentorship programmes, and adolescent engagement initiatives., Experience in programme reporting, documentation of impact stories, and monitoring of programme indicators., Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage relationships with partners and local stakeholders., Passion for adolescent empowerment, gender equality, and advancing equitable access to health and life opportunities for young people.

What You'll Do.
Support activities at community level that facilitate acceptance of SRHR through sporting activities among adolescents
young people and community members.
Support demand creation and service delivery activities in target sub-counties.
Promote SRHR service delivery through static facilities and outreach models.
Promote integration of services in the different services delivery points.
Strengthen inter-facility referral for family planning services.
Support training and mentorship sessions for SRHR Champions.
Support sports tournaments and bonanzas.
Facilitate peer champion led intergenerational community dialogues on SRHR.
Facilitate career guidance
life skills and mentorship sessions for adolescent mothers.
Support linkage of adolescents and young mother support groups to financial institutions and government safety net programmes.
Facilitate annual sports career guidance
life skills and mentorship sports and engagement days for girls and boys.
Undertake field activities with Implementing partners and provide technical and mentoring support.
Support execution of periodic planning
review meetings and workshops.
Coordinate the development and implementation of a multi-year work plan.
Support advocacy and communication processes for the project.
Prepare project activity reports.
Conduct regular field visits to project beneficiaries to monitor progress.
Participate in development of case studies and human-interest stories.
Coordinate SRHR content development for health communication and development.
Support in day-to-day management of activity budgets.
Ensure timely accounting for the use of project resources.

Work effectively with adolescents, schools, coaches, health systems, and community structures.; Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.; Manage relationships with partners and local stakeholders.; Establish and support quarterly sports stakeholder meetings with sports clubs, local businesses, sports federations and talent academies.; Liaise with relevant partners, stakeholders and collaborators.; Maintain a good working relationship between Amref, ministry of health, Nairobi City County and other partners/stakeholders.; Actively participate in the drawing, implementation and supervision of quarterly and annual project implementation plan with other partners/stakeholders.; Regularly undertake field activities with Implementing partners.; Work with schools, community leaders, youth groups, county governments, and health facilities to strengthen referral pathways and access to services.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB Under the Center Court Africa project, the technical officer will support activities at community level that facilitate acceptance of SRHR through sporting activities among adolescents, young people and community members. The position holder will be based at the Nairobi County and will support demand creation and service delivery activities in target sub-counties.
