What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years of experience in Freight Audit, Transportation and Logistics Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar role within a high-volume environment preferred
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, Familiarity with Salesforce. com or similar CRM/case management tools preferred
What You'll Do.
and continuously refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for freight auditing
and invoice aging resolution
Ensure accurate freight audit is occurring in the systems and procedures are being followed to audit standards
Ensure accurate general ledger coding and cost allocation
Proactively investigate and resolve complex billing discrepancies
and potential duplicate payments
Generate and analyze key performance indicator (KPI) reports on audit and payment activity
Manage and resolve carrier invoice disputes
Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers
providing clear guidance and training on proper invoicing procedures
Proactively monitor and manage payment system queues
troubleshooting and resolving invoices in error status
Mentor and train team members and new hires on freight audit and payment policies
and system functionalities
Actively identify opportunities for process
and system enhancements
proposing and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains
Lead and participate in cost savings initiatives and projects
and report on key operational and financial performance indicators (KPIs)
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Systems Support, and Finance; Partner with and audit pay system owner or account manager; collaborating with carriers and internal teams; collaborating with IT, Network Performance, Procurement, Transportation Operations, and Finance teams; Mentor and train team members and new hires
