Eligibility Requirements

U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (i. e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Blue’s Standard Background Check, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10, 001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training., Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, understanding thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, 7+ years of experience in the fields of fluids, thermal, or thermodynamics analysis, Expertise with one or more fluid or thermal modeling tools is required (e. g. , ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Classic, SINDA/FLUINT, SPF, Thermal Desktop, MINIVER, Flow Master, AFT Fathom and Arrow, and Refprop based Excel models, etc)

Nice to Have

Experience modeling cryogenic fluids, Experience with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Knowledge of other tools and automation processes including MATLAB or Python, Experience with analysis and operations of launch vehicles (boosters or upper stages) or spacecraft

use analysis and engineering models to develop and define detailed ground and flight operations requirements

Generate and run thermal fluids models to predict system performance in a wide range of environments

Perform fluid network analysis by evaluating both a variety of launch vehicle propellants and inert gasses from cryogenic to hot gas temperatures

Evaluate bounding thermal conditions against material and design capabilities

optimizing fluid system components for mass
