Full Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a world-class Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM III) to manage core service programs and projects for AWS Aurora—including building new features, driving operational excellence, and ensuring service fundamentals. This is a highly visible and challenging position within one of AWS's most critical database services. About the Role Technical Program Managers in Aurora own large, complex programs spanning interconnected dependencies across the organization, ensuring they execute efficiently and effectively at cloud scale. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging stakeholders, partnering with technical leads and product management to define roadmaps and strategies, driving release delivery, and providing ongoing status reporting to senior leadership. You will champion quality and ensure the engineering bar does not drop. It will be your responsibility to navigate inter-team dependencies, identify gaps in execution, and drive associated teams to deliver results. You will work across domains—specifically with product management, software engineers, engineering managers, and UX teams—to drive high-profile projects and releases for Aurora security. You will be responsible for driving deployments to our high-security regions, requiring careful stakeholder engagement and understanding of complex technical interdependencies. About Amazon Aurora Amazon Aurora is a fully managed relational database service that combines the performance and availability of high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of open-source databases.
