Full Job Description
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. As a Systems Development Engineer responsible for critical infrastructure automations across global Kuiper facilities, this role combines deep technical expertise with automation. The position requires independently handling complex technical issues while developing solutions for large-scale problems across facilities. You'll lead technical projects from conception through completion, mentor junior engineers, and make significant contributions to infrastructure improvements. Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll influence technical direction through rack design collaboration with engineering teams and development of automations and tooling. The role demands both hands-on technical work and strategic thinking to drive operational improvements and maintain system reliability. Success requires creating solutions which scale to meet the global scale or Project Kuiper.
