Key job responsibilities Technical Leadership: - Design and implement enterprise-scale automation architectures - Lead system integration efforts across multiple technical domains - Establish technical direction for industrial communication protocols and control systems - Drive standardization of software development practices and automation solutions - Provide technical oversight for vendor solutions and internal development Required Technical Expertise: - Advanced knowledge of industrial automation systems (TIA Portal 16+, Codesys 3.5) - Expert-level understanding of industrial protocols (Ethernet-IP, Profinet, EtherCAT) - Strong background in distributed systems and scalable architectures - Proven experience with Linux systems and camera integration - Deep understanding of CI/CD practices and version control systems Impact & Scope: - Drive technical decisions that impact AMZL's global automation strategy - Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously - Influence long-term technical roadmap decisions - Partner with senior leadership to define technical vision - Manage relationships with key vendors and technical partners A day in the life Your day will be a blend of technical design, collaborative problem-solving, and innovative engineering.
