In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing materials from approved and qualified suppliers with sufficient lead time to prevent material shortages; negotiating prices and conducting competitive bidding procedures, when necessary, to ensure the lowest cost for specific materials; assisting the Purchasing Manager in designing and launching requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) for assigned materials; and analyzing and evaluating quotations submitted by potential suppliers to ensure that quality, quantity, delivery, terms, and cost are acceptable.
