Full Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to drive DynamoDB optimization initiatives across Amazon's internal organizations. In this role, you'll work with critical internal teams to analyze, optimize, and improve how Amazon's services utilize DynamoDB, our industry-leading NoSQL database service that powers much of Amazon's retail and AWS infrastructure. Key job responsibilities - Partner with internal teams to analyze current DynamoDB usage patterns and identify optimization opportunities - Design and implement solutions to improve database efficiency and performance - Provide technical guidance and best practices for DynamoDB implementation - Collaborate with capacity planning teams to optimize resource utilization - Drive standardization of DynamoDB best practices across organizations - Conduct deep-dive analyses of DynamoDB usage patterns across internal services - Partner with TPMs and the Capacity & Forecasting team to implement optimization strategies - Review and optimize existing access patterns, partition key designs, and capacity provisioning - Drive adoption of DynamoDB best practices across internal teams - Identify opportunities for cost savings through improved database utilization - Work directly with service teams to implement recommended changes Basic Qualifications: - 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs - Experie
