Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our Commercial Sector Enterprise team in the UAE. You will work directly with customers in Financial Services, Retail, Travel & Hospitality, and Media — organizations navigating complex digital transformations where the technology strategy is not yet defined and the right path forward requires both technical depth and business judgment. This is a builder role. You will go into customer environments, understand their hardest problems, and design solutions that work — from whiteboard architecture through proof of concept to production. You will bring deep expertise across cloud infrastructure, modern application development, data and analytics, and increasingly, generative AI and machine learning. You will earn trust by shipping things that matter, not by presenting slides. You will be part of a collaborative, supportive team that values curiosity, ownership, and impact. Key job responsibilities As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will own the technical relationship with customers end-to-end. This means: - Partnering with enterprise customers to understand their business objectives, assess their current technology landscape, and architect cloud solutions that deliver real outcomes — in cost optimization, operational efficiency, security, reliability, and innovation. - Building hands-on: prototypes, proofs of concept, reference architectures, and production-ready designs. You lead by doing, not just advising. - Helping customers adopt and build with generative AI and machine learning — identifying high-value use cases, designing architectures for foundation models and intelligent applications, and guiding teams from experimentation to production. - Acting as the customer's technical advocate inside AWS — translating field insights into clear, prioritized feedback that shapes the roadm
