Alexa Shopping team is looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to drive the technical direction of shopping experiences across Alexa.com and the Alexa App. This is an opportunity to join our mission to build AI-powered shopping experiences that help millions of customers save time and money every day. Key job responsibilities * Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians (Engineering, Design, Science, Product, Business) to conceive, design, and bring innovative GenAI-powered shopping experiences to market across Alexa.com and the Alexa App * Architect and implement AI/ML-powered systems that anticipate customer needs and enable intelligent product discovery and evaluation at scale * Design and build distributed systems in a large computing environment, driving fundamental changes in how customers shop through voice and visual interfaces * Build scalable, fault-tolerant storage, indexing, and query systems that are low cost and easy to manage * Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed * Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems, balancing short-term delivery with long-term technical health * Establish design
