About Amazon Leo: Amazon Leo is Amazon's initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Commerce team plays a crucial role in developing and managing the systems that will enable customer acquisition, billing, and overall business operations for this service. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Software Engineer to lead technology architecture and be part of our Amazon Leo Commerce team in India. This role will be instrumental in establishing and growing our presence in the region, while developing critical commerce systems for Amazon Leo's global operations. Export Control Requirement: This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations Key job responsibilities • Actively participate in overall product strategy and UI presentation. • Design and implement globally available distributed cloud architectures. • Partners with AWS, retail e-commerce, networking, and security engineering teams. • Be involved in every aspect of the UI for new features – from idea generation, exploring different design options, and technical design through software development using the latest technologies and design patterns. • Collaborate with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to ensure the best experience for our customers.
