ABOUT THE TALENT ACQUISITION TEAM We are a lean, high-performing recruiting function embedded in the business — operating as true strategic partners to Engineering, Data, Product, Design, Marketing, Sales and G&A leaders. We are building an AI-native recruiting operation: using data and technology to improve how we find, evaluate, and hire talent at every stage of the funnel. Our team holds a high bar for quality of hire, moves with urgency, and treats recruiting as a strategic lever for how Thumbtack scales.   ABOUT THE ROLE As Sr. Recruiting Manager for Engineering and Data, you will own the full technical recruiting vertical end-to-end. This is a player-coach role — you will carry your own requisitions while directly managing a Senior Recruiter on the team. You will serve as the senior talent partner to our Engineering and Data organizations, owning relationships at the leadership level, driving hiring strategy, and continuously improving how we hire technical talent at Thumbtack. This role reports to the Director of NA Recruiting. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Own all Engineering and Data recruiting end-to-end: intake through close, across a portfolio of technical roles at all levels - Directly manage and develop a Senior Recruiter while maintaining your own requisition load as a player-coach - Build and execute talent strategies for Engineering and Data, including long-term pipeline development for hard-to
