Full Job Description

The AWS Health & Safety team is building a centralized program management capability designed to support scalable, sustainable safety programs across multiple business functions. We are seeking experienced Senior Program Managers to join a growing team responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-level safety and operational programs. This role is part of a multi-workstream program team responsible for delivering high-impact programs that improve operational consistency, strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement across AWS environments. Senior Program Managers hired into this role will be assigned to strategic focus areas based on business priorities and individual strengths. Key job responsibilities Key responsibilities include: • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs • Design and implement scalable mechanisms that support operational safety, compliance, and standardization • Partner with stakeholders to define program requirements, timelines, and success metrics • Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving • Develop standardized workflows, reporting mechanisms, and governance models • Drive program rollout readiness and ensure sustained adoption • Manage dependencies across multiple initiatives • Provide clear program visibility through structured reporting • Support continuous evolution of programs to meet changing business needs A day in the life A typical day in this role blends strategic planning, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement.
