Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Tech to lead product strategy and innovation for the Amazon Music Catalog team. This is a high-impact opportunity at the intersection of music metadata, rights management, and large-scale distributed systems, where you'll solve some of the most complex challenges in the music streaming space. In this role, you'll partner with Engineering, Data Science, and cross-functional teams across Amazon Music to build catalog systems that scale across hundreds of millions of daily updates and serve tens of thousands of requests per second. You will shape the long-term vision for catalog management, balancing data quality, system performance, rights compliance, and customer experience. You are customer-obsessed and highly technical. You dive deep into data, understand distributed systems architecture, spot opportunities to improve catalog accuracy and availability, then build solutions that delight customers and enable innovation across Amazon Music. Key job responsibilities As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical on the Amazon Music Catalog team, you will: - Define and drive the roadmap for Music catalog systems to ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy at scale. - Own the strategy for how catalog data is computed, persisted, and vended to downstream services across Amazon Music and other Amazon services. - Drive innovation in metadata enrichment, leveraging machine learning, automation, and data science to solve complex problems. - Define success metrics and establish mechanisms to monitor catalog health, data accuracy, system performance, and customer satisfaction. - Communicate strategy and progress effectively to senior leaders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. - Champion customer experience by ensuring catalog systems enable seamless music discovery, accurate search results, and reliable playback.
