This checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by the Just Walk Out (JWO) Technology, which automatically detects whether products are taken or returned, and enables shoppers to grab and go from stores ranging from small airport kiosks to massive university stores. The Data Services team, within JWO, owns two interconnected systems: (a) Data Platform, responsible for ingesting, aggregating, and persisting datasets generated by JWO services at scale, and (b) Data Engineering systems that enable reporting, analytics, and Business Intelligence use cases. Collectively, we enable business-critical merchant reporting (sales, refunds, catalog, payments), internal dashboards (accuracy, weekly and monthly management reports, supply chain, customer support, and store bring-up) and external integrations (ServiceNow, Salesforce, and Order Management).
