Full Job Description

The NETGEAR Product Design team is a group of highly skilled cross-disciplinary designers working together across continents and cultures in a friendly, fast-paced, and inspiring environment. We design and deliver technology products to a wide range of customers under our brands: Orbi, Nighthawk, and NETGEAR. As a member of the Product Design team, you will lead the design, testing, performance, documentation, and production of networking hardware for retail and small business markets. These are high-volume products manufactured in Asia, and the successful candidate will manage the design and tooling of plastic and metal enclosures from concept through production for home and small-to-medium office use. This is a hybrid role, expected to be onsite 3 days a week in our Richmond, BC office. Key Responsibilities - Design, evaluate, test, document, and improve products and components. - Work closely with the product design team, product marketing, internal industrial design and mechanical engineering teams, and ODM partners to create new products or customize existing ones. - Take a leadership role to ensure project goals for performance, cost, and schedule are met. - Collaborate closely with second- and third-tier suppliers. - Manage outside consultants and fabrication vendors. - Travel internationally as required.
