Full Job Description
Amazon LEO is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As a Sr. Mobility System Engineer - Algorithms, you will be responsible for developing algorithms for mobility terminals. You will be working in a collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team. In this role, your responsibilities include: • Developing pointing and tracking algorithms enabling seamless pointing and tracking towards LEO satellites by mobility terminals. • Evaluating various sensors and fusing the inputs from sensors such as GNSS, IMU, and MAG. • Developing simulation tools to validate the software and hardware. • Developing models to validate various mobility terminal-related algorithms. • Collaborating with software engineers to implement/integrate software packages, validating the design with simulation and field measurements. • Proactively engaging with internal and external development partners on systems’ hardware and software architectures and implementation. • Ensuring delivered work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements. • Performing in-field tests and validation of various CT architectures. • Expecting up to 10% travel depending on the phases of the projects.
