What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 8–15+ years of HVAC engineering experience in an engineering consulting environment, Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required, Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations, working knowledge of ASHRAE standards and guidelines, IMC, IECC, and applicable state/local mechanical codes, Commercial HVAC systems (VAV, hydronic systems, chilled water, boilers, heat pumps, VRF, DOAS, etc. ), Proficiency with HVAC design and analysis software, such as AutoCAD and/or Revit, Load calculation and energy modeling tools (e. g. , Trace, HAP, IES, EnergyPlus), Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects, High attention to detail and commitment to quality, Authorized to work for any employer in the U. S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future

Nice to Have

Experience managing large or complex projects across multiple market sectors, Familiarity with energy-efficient design, electrification, or decarbonization strategies, Experience with commissioning or existing building system upgrades, Background in public-sector or municipal projects

What You'll Do.

Lead the engineering design of HVAC systems for commercial

and industrial facilities

Serve as Project Manager on assigned projects

responsible for scope

and overall project delivery

Develop project work plans

Manage client relationships

including regular communication

Oversee and perform load calculations

Direct the preparation and review of construction documents

Coordinate HVAC designs with architectural

and controls disciplines

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers

Ensure designs meet applicable codes

and quality expectations

and provide responses during construction

Participate in construction administration

including site visits

and system commissioning support

Support business development efforts

Stay current with industry standards

and emerging HVAC technologies
