Key job responsibilities As Senior Mechanical Engineer on the One MHS team, you will develop innovative and complex hardware systems for our emerging material handling solutions and improve existing hardware to optimize performance and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience designing and troubleshooting custom electro-mechanical systems from the ground up. They enjoy analytical problem solving and possess practical knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, assembly and rapid prototyping. They thrive in an inter-disciplinary environment and have led the development of complex electro-mechanical systems. - Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing - Owner of the detailed design and performance of electro-mechanical systems - Work with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure smooth product launch - Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures - Exhibit role model behaviors of mechanical engineering best practices, thorough and predictive engineering analysis and cradle to grave ownership A day in the life Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children.
