Must Have
Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing Requirement experience required, Must be able to work manufacturing and integration issues as required, Associates Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 plus years of directly related experience and/or or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, working knowledge of PTC Creo/Pro E Computer Aided Design Software
Nice to Have
Experience in design and development of Space Flight Hardware preferred, Bachelor's degree (B. S. ) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus, Windchill administrative experience is a plus, Ability to travel domestically approximately ___+ /-10__% is a plus
What You'll Do.
Designs major segments of complex subsystems
Creates 3-D models of parts and assemblies to develop a subsystem layout
Prepares production drawings based on these models
Applies knowledge of materials
and other manufacturing processes to drawings
Participates in design reviews
Works closely with engineers and manufacturing personnel to insure that all aspects of the design are understood
Serves as liaison with operations during fabrication of parts to insure that all design issues are resolved and drawings are updated
Performs tolerance analysis on mating parts to insure proper fit
Applies knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to designs
Technically directs work and checks drawings of lower level drafters
Provides expertise in CAD software for specific problem solving on a project

We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins. **Job Description** Job Summary: Teledyne Brown Engineering is in need of a Senior Designer to support design and development of Space Flight Hardware for Space Launch System and other space hardware including payloads. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** may include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Designs major segments of complex subsystems. * Creates 3-D models of parts and assemblies to develop a subsystem layout. Prepares production drawings based on these models. * Applies knowledge of materials, finishes, welding, and other manufacturing processes to drawings. * Participates in design reviews. * Works closely with engineers and manufacturing personnel to insure that all aspects of the design are understood. * Serves as liaison with operations during fabrication of parts to insure that all design issues are resolved and drawings are updated. * Performs tolerance analysis on mating parts to insure proper fit.
