Full Job Description

Amazon's Operations Engineering Networking (ONE) org is looking for a Senior Network Development Manager to lead the team building a unified network architecture that powers everything from neighborhood grocery stores to the most advanced robotics fulfillment centers on the planet. You'll own the Core Networking organization and the engineers enabling Amazon's next generation of robotics, autonomous delivery, and fulfillment innovation — designing the network infrastructure these technologies rely on to operate at global scale. This is a rare opportunity to build from the ground up. We're creating a single, flexible network platform — vendor-agnostic, cost-optimized, and built on open standards with Amazon's own network operating system — that gives Amazon the freedom to deploy any technology, in any building, in any country, on our terms. You'll lead the team that makes that real. ONE powers Amazon's Operations and Grocery businesses through a global network infrastructure that enables mission-critical connectivity for fulfillment, robotics, and last-mile delivery. As the Senior NDM for Core Networking, you will own the design, development, and operational excellence of the LAN infrastructure that connects every device in every Amazon fulfillment center to the network. Key job responsibilities What you'll own: - A multi-team engineering organization spanning Core Network Engineering, Software Defined Network Infrastructure, Core Deployment, and Amazon Robotic Workcells - A unified network architecture optimized for cost, performance, availability and scale - Amazon's in-house network operating system built on commodity hardware, reducing vendor dependency and total cost of ownership - Security modernization — migrating sites from on-premise hardware firewalls to AWS Network Firewalls, eliminating operational downtime risk and enabling horizontal scaling - Hardware qualification and lifecycle — certifying next-generation switch platforms as replacements for end-of-s
