What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline, 15-20 years of experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing engineering or equant Manufacturing company, supplier development, or industrialization roles, Proven experience leading supplier APQP, NPI industrialization, and producibility improvement initiatives, background in aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, composites, electronics, special processes)
Nice to Have
Experience driving digital manufacturing or supplier digital transformation initiatives is highly preferred
What You'll Do.
Lead manufacturing engineering supports strategic and critical aerospace suppliers
Develop supplier manufacturing capabilities aligned to aerospace standards
Act as the senior technical authority to resolve complex supplier manufacturing and producibility challenges
Provide on-site technical support through structured Gemba engagements and capability assessments
Lead and govern APQP deployment at suppliers
Drive manufacturing readiness for NPI
Ensure robust process validation
and first-article readiness
Mentor suppliers on aerospace best practices for industrialization and quality at rate
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for chronic producibility issues
and process instability
Champion digital manufacturing and digitalization initiatives across the supplier base
Partner with internal digital and IT teams to align supplier digital roadmaps with enterprise strategy
