What They're Looking For.
Must Have
7+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 4+ engineers, Experience improving developer experience with a track record of identifying and removing friction in engineering workflows, technical background building or operating developer platforms such as source control systems, developer CLIs, developer environments, build systems or CI/CD, Experience improving developer workflows and operating developer platforms at scale in large engineering environments, including ownership of on-call, reliability improvements and service health metrics, Ability to partner effectively with a Tech Lead to align people leadership with technical direction, Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and developer tools in day-to-day engineering work, with an ability to evaluate and adopt emerging tools effectively, Familiarity with how AI is transforming developer workflows – code generation, code review, agent-driven development and developer environments, communication skills with the ability to articulate technical strategy to both engineers and senior leadership, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
