Full Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager to lead North America Logistics operations within AWS Cloud Logistics (ACL). This role owns the end-to-end physical supply chain for AWS hardware—from vendor origins through customs brokerage, warehousing, and multi-modal transportation (ocean, air, and over-the-road)—delivering critical infrastructure components to manufacturing sites and data centers across the continent. You will build and scale a world-class logistics organization that ensures AWS hardware arrives on time, in full, and at optimal cost to support the fastest-growing cloud infrastructure on the planet. You will operate at the intersection of supply chain strategy, operational excellence, and cross-functional influence to enable AWS capacity expansion Key job responsibilities Warehousing & Distribution • Lead strategy and operations for the North America warehouse network supporting AWS hardware staging, kitting, configuration, and distribution • Drive capacity planning, lease negotiations, and facility expansion/rationalization decisions • Optimize warehouse utilization, inventory accuracy, and throughput to support manufacturing and data center delivery timelines • Implement warehouse management systems (WMS), automation, and process improvements to scale operations • Manage 3PL relationships, SLAs, and cost performance across the distribution network Transportation — Ocean, Air & Over-the-Road • Own multi-modal transportation strategy and execution across ocean freight, air cargo, and domestic trucking (FTL/LTL) for AWS hardware shipments • Manage carrier procurement, rate negotiations, and mode optimization to balance cost, speed, and reliability • Oversee first-mile (vendor to port), international linehaul (ocean/air), and last-mile delivery to manufacturing sites and data centers • Drive transportation visibility, track & trace, and exception management capabilities • Build contingency and surge capacity plans fo
