Ability to be on-call, Available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally, Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment, Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis, Endurance for continuous, fast paced work, Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit, Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc), Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc. )
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
At least 18 years of age, 3+ years of previous experience maintaining various powered Material Handling Equipment, English fluency required, Ability to use a multimeter, Working knowledge of hand and powered tools, Accuracy and attention to detail, Ability to use email, word-processing, spreadsheets, WMS and other applications, Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays, Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally, Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment, Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis, Endurance for continuous, fast paced work, Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit, Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc), Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc. ), Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.
Nice to Have
College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus, Bilingual preferred, Previous power equipment experience preferred
What You'll Do.
performing general maintenance duties
general warehouse maintenance duties to ensure the overall cleanliness of the entire warehouse
cleanliness of all power equipment
maintaining the cleanliness of all powered equipment including: forklift
and clamp attachments
maintain a safe and professional work environment both in and outside
Preventive maintenance for all equipment
and maintain equipment
Operate powered equipment including: forklift
and clamp attachments
Monitor and maintain the functionality and cleanliness of wrap machines
Apply theory and fundamental principles of electricity
hydraulic and basic mechanics
make minor to major repairs
Work independently and with minimal supervision
Maintain all DC policies and procedures
Maintain a safe and professional work environment
Read electrical and mechanical schematics
Perform other duties as assigned
working in other departments as needed
