Labcorp is seeking a remote **Sr Mainframe Applications Programmer/Analyst** to join our team! **Work Schedule** : This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a Night Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. **Job Responsibilities** **Team Development and Mentorship** * Mentor and support junior/mainframe developers. * Act as a technical escalation point for critical issues. **Technical Oversight** * Oversee development and maintenance of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2. * Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews for development teams. * Monitor batch jobs, application performance, and production stability. * Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues and system failures. * Perform impact analysis and support application enhancements and deployments. * Ensure adherence to coding standards, SDLC processes, and system security/compliance. **Collaboration and Stakeholder Management** * Partner with cross‑functional teams including product management, operations, and IT to translate business requirements into technical solutions. * Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and key stakeholders. **Delivery and Operations** * Attend project related meetings which may include daily stand-ups depending on the project (A mix of waterfall and agile projects may be assigned). * Analysis and documentation of project requirements/technical specs using standard document templates * Coding per company standards * Unit testing a
