The Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer focuses on the design and engineering of HVAC and mechanical utilities for buildings. The individual possesses demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks, coordinate with internal and external parties, establish priorities and direct the work of others. Typical tasks and deliverables that are executed by or under the supervision of the Senior Lead include site selection, master planning, commissioning and startup, load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, design reports, code evaluations, plans, P&IDs, schedules, HAZOP reviews, installation details, equipment and system selection and specification, and coordination with manufacturers and trade partners. Project work includes directing design activities for all levels of design such as studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration. The Senior Lead understands the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases, sizes and levels of complexity. The Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing oversight for the discipline at a project, office and regional level.
