The Workplace Health and Safety Global Mobility (WGM) team ensures associate safety through prevention-focused design in Amazon's new buildings. We specialize in three critical operational areas: Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations, Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) systems, and Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV) integration. This role directly impacts associate safety by implementing safety standards at the design phase, reducing operational risks through preventive measures, maintaining operational efficiency while prioritizing safety, and creating standardized safety protocols across global operations. You will collaborate with design engineering teams to develop and implement safety standards that protect associates while optimizing building efficiency. Your work ensures that new Amazon facilities incorporate safety considerations from the ground up, rather than retrofitting solutions later. The role focuses on prevention through design initiatives, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, global safety standard development, cross-functional team collaboration, and operational efficiency optimization. This position is integral to maintaining Amazon's commitment to workplace safety while supporting operational excellence. You will drive strategic safety initiatives that shape the future of our facilities, ensuring that safety considerations are built into every aspect of our building designs.
