Full Job Description
The Senior HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the organization meets ongoing regulatory, reporting, and compliance obligations across multiple federal, state, and local requirements. This role focuses on execution excellence (owning routine and recurring compliance deliverables such as agency reporting, employment-related regulatory filings, and benefits compliance audits) while also supporting policy and procedure development and review. The Senior Compliance Associate serves as a subject matter resource on employment-law-adjacent compliance requirements and partners cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and Operations to ensure timely, accurate, and defensible compliance practices. What You’ll Do: - Prepare, manage, and submit recurring regulatory and agency reports (10+ monthly reports), ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and proper documentation. - Own mandated employment-related filings and reporting obligations, including but not limited to EEO-1 reporting, ACA benefits reporting, and other federal or state workforce compliance requirements. - Audit employee status changes, including part-time to full-time transitions, to ensure compliance with ACA eligibility, benefits enrollment, and reporting requirements. - Maintain compliance calendars, track deadlines, submission requirements, and support documentation for audits and inquiries. - Review, update, and maintain employee handbook content and company-wide policies to ensure alignment with current employment laws and regulatory guidance. - Partner with internal departments to review proposed policies, procedures, and operational changes that involve employment law or compliance considerations. - Respond to internal and external compliance inquiries, audits, or agency requests by gathering documentation and coordinating responses. - Identify compliance gaps or process improvement opportunities and elevate risks or recommendations to Compliance or HR leadership. - Maintain accurate
