What They're Looking For.
Must Have
STEM degree and 5 years relevant experience, Minimum five years’ experience with vibration testing utilizing Crystal Instruments and Vibration Research controllers, Minimum two years’ technical writing experience in test planning, analysis, or reporting, Minimum two years’ experience working with structural test systems or experience with instrumentation (accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gages, load cells, etc…) and data acquisition systems (Dewetron, DeweSoft, LabView, Agilent/Keysight, Benchlink, Somat, MATLAB etc…), Active and transferable U. S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, U. S. citizenship is required
Nice to Have
Preferred engineering majors include Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical, communication and leadership skills including effective written, verbal, and listening, Experience developing and evaluating requirements and being able to evaluate test issues and define solutions, Experience with solid modeling and analysis software applications, High situational awareness and ability to effectively work multiple projects simultaneously, Current DoD secret or TS/SSBI clearance
What You'll Do.
executing a variety of environmental tests
developing the best methods for implementing tests to meet customer requirements
test design and setup
equipment control and monitoring
data collection and analysis
performing troubleshooting and adjustment of both the equipment and test setup when technical issues arise
consulting and providing testing guidance to internal program customers
verifying proposed testing will meet intended requirements
writing test plans and procedures
reviewing test plans and procedures
creating schedules and budgets for all testing
overseeing and personally conducting environmental testing to validate models
implementing engineering best practices to ensure testing is performed accurately
and within allowed budget
analyzing test data real time and posttest to validate requirements have been met
communicating status of ongoing testing efforts with ET leadership and internal program customers
and analyzing vibration and structural test fixtures
