What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10+ years of software engineering experience, at least 3+ years in an engineering management role, managing engineering managers, scaling multi-team organizations in fast-paced, product-driven environments, delivering high-quality, high-traffic digital experiences using modern web stacks, Deep understanding of scalable systems, API design, cloud infrastructure, performance optimization, people management skills, mentoring engineers and engineering managers at various levels, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture, understanding of how technology impacts user experience and business outcomes, Ability to balance engineering needs with business goals, Excellent communication skills, articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, provide clear updates on project progress, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, design, marketing, data and QA, Ability to think strategically and critically to address technical and business challenges, maintaining a hands-on approach when necessary
Nice to Have
Experience with e-commerce, subscription services, or beauty-tech industries, Expertise in guiding both frontend and backend architecture in a microservices environment, Experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android), Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and A/B testing, Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, Familiarity with CMS tools such as Contentful/ContentStack, Familiarity with modern cloud platforms like Netlify, Vercel

Lead Engineering Teams
Manage and mentor a team of software engineers and first-line engineering managers
Drive Technical Vision & Architecture
Partner with product and design teams to define and execute on the technical vision for our web and mobile platforms
Be deeply involved in system architecture and design decisions
Ensure Engineering Excellence
Oversee the delivery of high-quality
and reliable software
Guide your team through complex technical challenges
help prioritize high-impact projects
Identify and implement improvements to engineering processes
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with product managers
and other teams to drive product initiatives forward
Develop the next generation of engineering leaders within your team
