What They're Looking For.
Must Have
6+ years data center design experience, 6+ years industrial or commercial engineering experience, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment, Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
Nice to Have
Professional Engineering or Architectural License, Knowledge of building codes and regulations, Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment, Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents, Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods
What You'll Do.
Lead Data center electrical designs
Create coordinated construction document set
Participate in site selection reviews
Work with local utilities
Define site utility requirements
Design critical Data Center equipment
Design site-wide MV infrastructure
Design Uninterruptible Power Supplies
Create designs meeting quality requirements
Create designs within budgetary requirements
Specify appropriate electrical equipment
Work with regional vendors and manufacturers
Ensure compliance with IEC requirements
Ensure compliance with APAC wide design codes
Ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements
Review equipment submittals
Approve equipment submittals
Work on concurrent projects
Provide technical support for information requests
Work with commissioning teams
Test electrical systems
Validate electrical systems installation
Validate electrical systems operation
Validate electrical systems performance
Travel to sites for site review
Work with onsite field engineers
Provide engineering evaluations
Provide electrical systems audits
Provide startup support
