What They're Looking For.
Must Have
7 years of experience in treasury, investment banking, or capital markets roles at a large organization, Advanced capability with Microsoft Excel, Experience with cashflow modeling, Experience with hedge accounting
Nice to Have
Post-graduate degree, Specific market execution experience on IR derivatives, bonds and/or FX
What You'll Do.
Managing the bank's funding and liquidity activities
Hedging structural market risks
Maximizing the fair value of CIBC's balance sheet
Pricing and executing capital markets transactions to support CIBC’s wholesale term funding
Identifying and sourcing cost-effective transactions in global fixed income markets
Developing strategies for senior and subordinated debt across fixed income
Managing ongoing interest rate and FX risk
accounting relationships
and cash positions for the Term Funding books
Arranging and executing interest rate structured notes
Coordinating large public and private fixed income capital markets transactions
Supporting Treasury’s Capital Management and transfer pricing functions
Maintaining awareness of economic trends
Building relationships with internal and external capital markets participants
Ensuring timely and accurate execution of capital markets trades within established parameters and controls
Developing effective hedging strategies
Analyzing market trends to recommend optimal funding solutions
Providing subject matter expertise to inform and support decision making
Participating in the preparation and presentation of materials for senior and executive management
Engaging in initiatives to improve measurement
and analysis of capital markets activities
Providing expertise in the preparation of responses to regulatory surveys and inquiries
