What You'll Do.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes
with a emphasis on P&L and Cost analysis
Conduct in-depth analysis of variances between actual performance and forecasted metrics
providing actionable insights to management
Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards
highlighting key performance indicators and trends to facilitate strategic discussions
Assess various financial scenarios to aid in strategic planning and decision-making processes
Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and reporting methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Lead financial planning
forecasting (quarterly)
and AOP/LEE processes for LATAM commercial finance
ensuring accuracy and alignment with global FP&A guidelines
Support monthly and quarterly close activities
including revenue and margin variance analysis and accrual/provision validation
data-driven insights and presentations to LATAM Finance and commercial leadership to support strategic initiatives
Support continuous improvement and process automation within Commercial Finance to drive efficiency and scalability
Drive the standardization of financial processes and tools across LATAM as part of the “One Finance” initiative
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner closely with local Finance teams, Sales, FP&A Global, and Controllership; Partner with FP&A, Demand Planning, Inbound, Controllership, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate tracking of P&L lines and alignment on financial objectives; Provide clear, data-driven insights and presentations to LATAM Finance and commercial leadership to support strategic initiatives; Support continuous improvement and process automation within Commercial Finance to drive efficiency and scalability; Drive the standardization of financial processes and tools across LATAM as part of the “One Finance” initiative; working closely together always brings better results; Partnership is our process

The Senior Business Analyst – LATAM will play a key role in supporting Commercial Finance activities across Mattel's Latin America region (Mexico, CAM, South America). This role provides financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support strategic business decisions and optimize profitability. The analyst reports to Finance Manager LATAM and partners closely with local Finance teams, Sales, FP&A Global, and Controllership, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with Mattel's "One Finance" initiatives and LATAM standardization efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills, advanced financial modeling, and the ability to translate data into insights for leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with solid business acumen, advanced Excel and Tableau skills, and experience in Commercial Finance within a multinational consumer goods environment.
