The Brief

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst Capacity-focused in Insurance Business Environment, At least 3 years of Insurance business experience (claims, underwriting, agency accounting, corporate underwriting, etc.), Experience in policy/claim system implementation including rating, forms, and reporting, Able to work directly with the business to understand business requirements on a project basis, Ability to understand the business area's functions and systems, Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, Experience/exposure to business analysis methodology, process improvement methodology, project and risk management and industry related tools, Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Have

BSA Degree, preferably in Business Administration or Information Systems preferred, MBA highly preferred, IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA®), Guidewire Policy/Claim Center experience, Aptitude for technology

What You'll Do.

and validate requirements for changes to business processes and IT applications/systems

Serve as the liaison between the business community and the development team

Conduct interviews and lead requirements gathering sessions

Document business and system/functional and non-functional requirements

Maintain requirements per PMO standards

Communicate issues to business customers and other stakeholders

Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned projects and processes

Perform Knowledge Transfer with technical teams

Coordinate building of user acceptance test cases and execution of UAT

Mentor internal or external Business Analysts

Review work product of partners

Work with application managers and business product owners on prioritizing requests

Serves as the liaison between the business community and the development team; Performs Knowledge Transfer with technical teams – Development, Quality Assurance and Production Support; Works with application managers and business product owners; Mentors internal or external Business Analysts
