Reviewing, developing, and defending key market assumptions including supply, demand, fuel prices, emissions pricing, policy impacts, and cost of new entry (CONE)”

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

5+ years of experience in North American power and gas markets, Demonstrated experience forecasting wholesale electricity prices and asset revenues, Degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Commerce

Nice to Have

Master’s degree or professional designation (or progress toward one) is an asset, exposure to market models is an asset

What You'll Do.

Owning long‑term fundamental power market forecasts (energy

and environmental products) for assigned regions

and defending key market assumptions including supply

and cost of new entry (CONE)

Leading asset‑level gross margin projections

and financial proformas to support budgeting

and project valuations

Supporting business development and expansion initiatives by delivering price forecasts

and due diligence assessments for new investments

Providing strategic market insights to Commercial and Supply & Trading teams to support origination

and contracting strategies

Managing external consultants

including scope definition

and interpretation of results

Preparing and delivering presentations and briefings to cross-functional teams

senior management and executive teams on market outlooks

Monitoring regulatory

and market design developments

assessing their commercial

financial impacts and incorporating their implications into price projections

Designing and implementing market dashboards for consumption across the company

Preparing and delivering presentations and briefings to cross-functional teams, senior management and executive teams on market outlooks, risks, and opportunities

Communication Scope

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations

Process & Methodology

Managing external consultants, including scope definition, assumption review, quality control, and interpretation of results
