What They're Looking For.
Must Have
qualified accountant, fundamental understanding of what it takes to operate within a multi-country RTR environment in a multi-national corporation, extensive business experience, held a RTR position in a similar organization operating in several major countries in Europe, exposure to the United States, in-depth knowledge of general accounting policies and procedures, US GAAP, in-depth knowledge of local European country statutory and tax reporting requirements, knowledge of SAP or equivalent, Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word), experience of operating RTR processes in Shared Services in a multi-country corporate environment, 2-3 years of relevant experience, professional accounting qualification from a recognized body (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
Nice to Have
background in a practice training environment, Experience operating in a Shared Service environment, Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry, An additional major European language would be beneficial – French, German, Spanish or Italian

General Ledger accounting

maintains ledger integrity
ensures financial compliance
review and posting of month-end close
accounting P&L and balance sheet account analysis
ensure financial records are in compliance with GAAP
maintains appropriate internal controls
upholds company policies and procedures
interacts with internal and external auditors
interim and year-end audits
recommends and implements process improvements
and assess internal controls
interacts with non-financial personnel
accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. and local GAAP
champion for the Global Financial Services philosophy and architecture
support the Statutory Accounting and VAT programs
