Who we are Portoro is a branded, tech-enabled property management company for premium vacation rental homes in top-tier leisure destinations. Portoro curates a select network of large, premium vacation homes that provide guests with more consistency in quality and service, yet more diversity in experiences. We are raising the bar for the $100+ billion growing STR industry. What we are looking for The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in enterprise-level ERP systems (preferably Sage), exposure to trust accounting, and has covered various areas of the monthly close process, including accounts payable, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. This role will report to the CFO and collaborate closely with the global finance team, requiring strong communication skills in English and familiarity with international accounting standards. What you’ll do Manage the end-to-end process for bill payments and ensure accurate recording and tracking of expenses. Ensure the accurate recognition of revenue in compliance with company policies and international accounting standards. Prepare and analyze financial reports, offering actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions. Work with enterprise-level ERP systems to maintain and improve financial operations and reporting. Ensure compliance with US accounting regulations and standards, including tax filings and other financial reports as needed. Work closely with internal teams and external auditors to support audits, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analyses. What you’ll bring 3+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to various areas such as AP, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
