The **SQL Database Administrator IV** is responsible for developing and enforcing security best practices; managing and maintaining SQL Server databases; implementing and managing database backup and recovery strategies; collaborating with development teams to support database related tasks; performing database performance tuning and optimization. This position requires US Citizenship and is US Remote Telework. **Principal Accountabilities:** * Develop and enforce security best practices for Amentum to include industry standards such as encryption, role-based access control and compliance auditing. * Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and system resource management. * Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and reliability. * Develop and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. * Plan and execute database and server upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime. * Implement security measures, including encryption, authentication, and auditing to protect data. * Serve as DBMS subject matter expert on team with developers, system administrators, and business analysts to support application development and troubleshooting. * Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance and reliability issues. * Perform other duties as assigned. **Knowledge,
