It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. **Description of Work** The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team, with primary responsibilities of facilitating communication and maximizing swallowing safety for residents at the O'Berry Center. Through direct and indirect services, the SLP provides evaluations, direct treatments, program planning, in-service training, and staff consultations to ensure the seamless integration of services.
